THE GREEN HOUSE was born from the merge of our vegetable garden and our love for welcoming people to this beautiful country, Portugal.

With the same values as our award winner Boutique Hotel in Lisbon, Santiago de Alfama, THE GREEN HOUSE is perfectly located in the heart of true Alentejo, right in the center of a completely unspoilt village called Vila Nova da Baronia where people are kind and life is still slow and of another time. The countryside is beautiful as well as peaceful, a perfect place to rest, unwind and be pampered.

How to get to us!

Food

We love food specially when is free of chemicals that tastes amazing.

We have one of Audrey’s chefs on site at all times to ensure that we deliver our Condé Nast Award Winning breakfast and memorable dinners under the stars.

As we are such an intimate place, we have cocktails and sundowners every evening at 7.30 pm followed by a lodge style dinner at 8pm. The menu will be up to the chef each evening and you will be guaranteed the freshest produce from our garden, locally sourced fish and meat and a selection of wines curated by one of Portugal’s best up and coming enologists, Mariana Salvador.We highly recommend a half board stay, to ensure breakfast and dinner every day.

The Green House was born around our vegetable garden that supplies our breakfast, dinner and also some of the veggies for the kitchen at our Lisbon home Audrey's.
